Leonard Williams elevated from alternate at Pro Bowl

ORLANDO, FL - The NFL announced today that Jets DE Leonard Williams will be elevated from alternate to player in this year's Pro Bowl. Williams will replace the Raiders' Khalil Mack who is injured. 

Williams, in his 2nd year in the NFL and with the Jets was voted the team's MVP this season. He finished the year with  68 tackles and 7 sacks. He was named as a first-alternate for the Pro Bowl in December. The only other Jets player in the Pro Bowl mix is DE Sheldon Richardson who was named a fifth-alternate. 

The Pro Bowl is on January 29th at the Orlando Citrus Bowl.
