Jets Officially Announce Morton Hiring at OC

There's a new offensive mind in town...

FLORHAM PARK, NJ - The Jets made official on Tuesday night what everyone already knew. They have hired former Saints wide receivers coach John Morton as their new offensive coordinator.

The 49 year old Morton replaces Chan Gailey who retired after the season. JetsInsider.com reported the hiring earlier this week.

Morton has vast experience in football on both the playing and coaching side playing in both the NFL and CFL and coaching the last 15 years in both college and the NFL.

He comes to NY with a big task in trying to re-vamp an offense without currently a franchise quarterback and an offensive line with a lot of question marks.
