No Hall of Fame In 2017 For Former Jet Kevin Mawae

The former iconic Jet falls short in 2017..

The NFL's Pro Football Hall of Fame came calling for former Jets center Kevin Mawae as he was nominated as a finalist for this year's class but unfortunately did not make the final cut for 2017.

Mawae, who played eight of his sixteen seasons with the Jets, was an eight time Pro-Bowler, seven time first team All-Pro and a member of the 2000's All-Decade Team fell short in a field of ten finalists this year.  RB LaDanian Tomlinson who played two seasons with the Jets along with DE Jason Taylor who played one season with Gang Green were elected along with S Kenny Easley, RB Terrell Davis, QB Kurt Warner, K Morten Andersen and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

There's no doubt with his credentials that Mawae will be back on the ballot and eventually will get his due in Canton.
