New York City-- The New York Jets announced today the following roster moves:

Signed cornerback Leonard Myers from the practice squad to the active roster, signed free agent linebacker Quincy Stewart and waived cornerback Jacoby Shepherd and linebacker Khary Campbell. The Club also signed guard Brandon Moore and running backs Jonathan Reese and Keith Burnell to the practice squad and released tackle Will Ofenheusle and running back Little John Flowers from the practice squad.

Leonard Myers is a third-year player out of the University of Miami who spent his first two seasons with the New England Patriots. The 5-10, 196-pound cornerback is a native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and was a sixth round selection (200th overall) of the Patriots in the 2001 NFL Draft. He was signed to the Jets' practice squad on September 18, 2003.

Quincy Stewart, a 6-1, 234-pound linebacker from Louisiana Tech, has played the past two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. In April of 2003, he signed as a free agent with the Denver Broncos, but was waived on final cut-downs. In 2001, his rookie season, Stewart played all 16 regular season games, seeing most of his time on special teams, and had nine tackles. In 2002, Stewart was the 49ers' leading special teams tackler with 17 stops and added six tackles on defense. He originally broke into the NFL as an undrafted college free agent in 2001.

Jonathan Reese, who originally signed with the Jets as a rookie free agent from Columbia University on April 26, 2002, participated in his second training camp with the Jets this summer. The 6-1, 220-pound running back was waived at the end of training camp and re-signed to the practice squad on September 1. He was waived from the Jets' practice squad on September 18, 2003.

Brandon Moore originally signed with the Jets as a rookie free agent from the University of Illinois on April 26, 2002. The 6-3, 295-pound native of Gary, Indiana switched from defensive tackle to offensive guard mid-way through the 2002 training camp, before being waived on August 26, 2002. He was signed to the Jets practice squad on December 26, 2002, where he remained for the remainder of the season before being allocated to the Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe. Moore played in all five games for the Jets this preseason. Moore was released by the Jets on August 31, 2003 on final cut-downs.

Keith Burnell, 5-11, 205-pound running back, broke into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in May 2003 with the Green Bay Packers. The Chesapeake, Virginia native spent two years at Virginia Tech (1999-2001) before transferring to the University of Delaware for his final season. He played in 34 collegiate games, with 16 starts, totaling 1,718 rushing yards on 395 carries with 18 touchdowns. He was waived by the Packers on August 26, 2003.
