Vilma's knee scaring off some teams

Miami linebacker Jonathan Vilma is slipping on some draft boards due to a potentially problematic knee.

Vilma had knee surgery in 2001. However, he only missed a couple of spring practices, and no games.

Vilma played the last three seasons on the knee, and it didn't seem to have a negative impact on his play.

But according to an NFL source, there are still some loose particles around the surgical knee, and Vilma might need more surgery in the future.

Some teams are being scared off by Vilma's knee, while others think it shouldn't cause the talented linebacker any problems.

It's unclear where the Jets stand on Vilma's knee condition.
