Jets add free agent kick returner

The Jets are in the process of signing a number of undrafted free agents, and two they have already added are Nebraska running back Josh Davis and Delaware guard Jason Nerys.

The Jets are in need of a kick returner, and Davis was considered one of the better returners in the draft.

In 2001 and 2002, he had eight games with over 100 kickoff return yards. This past season, he played a lot more at running back, so his work as a returner was cut back.

Nerys has good size at 6-4, 303 pounds. The New Jersey-native had a very good workout for the Jets prior to the draft. With the Jets guard situation somewhat unsettled, expect Nerys to be the first of a few free agent guards to sign with the team.
