Glenn out for Colts game, but not all is bad

The Jets got some bad news on Wednesday – cornerback Aaron Glenn isn't going to play. He is going to miss his third straight game with a knee injury.

This is particularly bad news facing the Colts. The Jets need all the good corners they can use against this high-powered passing attack. Even though the Colts are struggling, they still have a good pass attack.

Glenn historically has done a good job against the Colts star receiver Marvin Harrison. Ray Mickens will start for Glenn. That isn't necessarily the problem. The Jets have to be concerned with their inexperienced nickel and dime backs – Jamie Henderson and Tony Scott against Peyton Manning. The Steelers did a number on these two. The Jets get a break in that the Colts third receiver and punt returner Terence Wilkins will not play because of an injury.

In another bit of injury news that could help the Jets, the Colts will be without their best defensive player – linebacker Mike Peterson. He will miss the Sunday night outing because of a knee injury. It doesn't look good for Santana Moss. He is still bothered by a strained quad. One medical person tells us it's a 4-6 week injury. He is three weeks into the ailment.
