LG Pete Kendall (wrist - probable) was added to the injury report on Thursday. He sprained his right wrist at Wednesday's practice. He should be okay to play on Sunday, but didn't practice on Thursday. However, if he has to fill-in for Kevin Mawae at center, like he did for a few plays last week, this wrist injury could affect his snapping ability.
Mawae is surprisingly not on the injury report. He is still wearing a wrap to cover the broken bone in his right hand, but isn't listed. He has practiced all week, but you wonder if the Bills massive, athletic defensive tackle combination of Pat Williams and Sam Adams will be too much for him to handle, if he has to snap left-handed and wear a club on his right hand. He got by doing this against a pair of backup defensive tackles in Miami, but Williams and Adams are a much more significant challenge.
CB Derrick Strait (foot-probable) hurt his right foot in practice on Thursday, and left practice early to get the foot x-rayed. While he is listed as probable, remember, Jets coach Herman Edwards said last week that probable means 50-50 to him. If Strait can't go, veteran Terrell Buckley will be the Jets nickel back.
CB Donnie Abraham suffered a hip pointer at Miami, but has practiced all week, and will start. He was listed as probable on Wednesday, but was removed from the injury report on Thursday.
LT Jason Fabini, who played with a bad back at Miami, has improved quite a bit this week, and no longer is on the injury report. He was probable earlier in the week.
As for the Bills, center Trey Teague was downgraded from questionable to out. He has a cracked fibula. Teague will be replaced by Ross Tucker.
Bills LT Jonas Jennings is listed as questionable, and hasn't practiced all week. He claims he's going to play, but he is battling concussion-type symptoms, so you have to wonder. 2004 seventh round pick Dylan McFarland is listed as his backup.
Starting SS Coy Wire is questionable, but probably wasn't going to start anyway.
"Wire who was going to be benched this week anyway mysteriously has a quad contusion all of a sudden," said source close to the Bills. "Smells real fishy to me. Pierson Prioleau will likely start at SS."
The Bills are already without two starters in the secondary with CB Troy Vincent (knee) and S Lawyer Milloy (forearm) out this week.
