Pennington out 2-4 weeks

The Jets will be without their franchise quarterback, Chad Pennington, for 2-4 weeks.

Pennington suffered a bruised rotator cuff in the first quarter of the Jets loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

While no surgery is required, Pennington will need time to get the soreness out of the injury which he described as "a charley horse in his shoulder."

Quincy Carter will start this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Expect the Jets to use a very conservative game plan, trying to win this game running the ball, throwing low risk passes and by forcing turnovers.
