Baker/Ellis updates

In the Jets loss against Baltimore, third-year tight end Chris Baker, suffered a hand injury.<p>

But it turns out the injury isn't as bad as originally thought. He has a broken bone in his hand, but should be able to play with the injury. He is listed as probable for the team's game in Cleveland. So it's unlikely the Jets will sign a tight end.

The Jets should also have defensive end Shaun Ellis back for the Cleveland game. After missing the Baltimore contest with a groin injury, Ellis was upgraded to probable for this Sunday. Bryan Thomas did a very good job filling for Ellis against the Ravens. He had 1.5 sacks and also did a solid job against the run.

The Jets defensive line could have a big day against a Cleveland Browns offensive line that lost one their better players, guard Kelvin Garmon, for the season last week to a knee injury.
