Abraham: I am practicing. That is about all I can say. I can't really put a percentage on it right now. I don't really want to put that out there because we have a big game this week and I don't want to really give out any clues as to what is going on.
Q)What are your thoughts on splitting time with Bryan Thomas during the game?
Abraham: We are kind of taking it day-by-day right now. I am not going to put anything out, who is playing, who is not playing because we are not sure what is going to happen right now. If I am capable of being there, I am going to be there.
Q)Are you eager to get back into action?
Abraham: I want to be out on the field but also I have to be smart. I have a long career ahead of me and I can't go out there and hurt my knee again. Right now, I am not planning on having surgery so I don't want to run back out there too soon and get another injury to this knee and have to get surgery or something like that.
Q)Is the potential rainy weather a concern?
Abraham: Not really. Just playing up to the playoff level because the playoff level is 10 times greater than the regular season level and the regular season is 10 times greater than the preseason. I just have to be smart, and know if I come back what could be the plusses and what could be the minuses. I am not going to say I am worrying about getting hurt but you know it has to be in the back of my head.
Q)How much did you practice today?
Abraham: I practiced a fair amount. I didn't try to go out there like I was a starter at this point because I didn't want to take anything away from Bryan (Thomas) just in case. Like I said, we are not sure exactly what is going to go on from now. We are just practicing like I am going to play and we are going to prepare like I am going to play.
Q)What is the likelihood of you playing?
Abraham: I am just weighing my options. I want to be 80 or 90 percent before I go out there. I have to weigh my options. I have to know if I go out there, I don't want to injure this knee again and have to get surgery. I think we avoided surgery just letting it heal for the last four weeks and I don't want to have to put myself in a situation that I am going to need surgery if I go out there and get hurt again.
Q)What percentage are you at right now?
Abraham: I can't really judge the percentage I am right now because it is different when you put pads on. Right now I am just going through the motions but today and tomorrow I will probably be a little more knowledgeable about what is going on and how I am feeling.
I have to think about the long term right now, I don't want to go out there and seriously injure myself anymore than I already have.
Q)It has to be a very tough decision?
Abraham: It is definitely a tough situation. I want to be here for my team but also I have to understand I am in kind of a Catch-22 situation I guess you could say. Either way, whatever I do is pretty much going to factor in on my life whether we move on or whether we lose. I have to sit back and weigh my options right now and see what is important. If I feel like I am at the percentage that I think I can play at, then I will play. But if I don't feel like I am, I can't.
Q)So today's practice didn't give you an indication of whether you can play or not . . .
Abraham: It wasn't a full speed practice like a game. It was a nice practice and it felt good out there but I have to judge how I am going to feel in a game, not how I am going to feel in practice.
Q)What percentage do you need to be to play?
Abraham: I told myself around 80, 85, 90 percent to play.
Q)Do you have any swelling in the knee?
Abraham: I don't think it is swollen but I just got off the field so I really can't tell right now. Just wait and see after tomorrow and see how I practice and see how I feel. I want to go into the game rolling, I don't want to go into the game second-guessing whether I should play or not.
Q)How did you feel coming off the edge today?
Abraham: Obviously I was a little tentative because I just started practicing so I can't say I felt like perfectly myself.
Q)Will it likely be a game-time decision?
Abraham: I don't know. I don't know if it will be a game time or not. It might be tonight. I might wake up and the knee feels good and everything like that. It might be tomorrow, it might be Saturday.
