The Jets announced to the media on Friday that defensive end John Abraham (knee sprain) was downgraded from probable to questionable. They should have announced an even more significant downgrade.<p>
ESPN's Andrea Kramer reported on Friday night that Abraham will not play against the San Diego Chargers Saturday night in first round of the playoffs.
Abraham isn't comfortable playing with a knee brace on the wet field at Qualcomm Stadium. He will be replaced in the starting lineup once again by Bryan Thomas. Since Thomas isn't nearly the pass rusher Abraham is, Jets defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson will be forced to blitz more than he probably wants to.
