Jets trade out of the first round

On Wednesday, the Jets traded out of the first round.<p>

They traded the 26th pick of the first round to the Oakland Raiders for tight end Doug Jolley, and a second round pick (47th overall).

The Jets also received a pair of 2005 sixth round picks from the Raiders (182 and 185) in this deal. And Raiders will receive the Jets 2005 7th round pick.

Jolley, a second round pick in 2002, has had an inconsistent career in Oakland. His best season was his rookie campaign. The Raiders have soured on him.
