Jets cut Ricky Ray

The Jets made three roster moves on Thursday.

The team released quarterback Ricky Ray, running back Leonard Henry and tight end Josh Norman.

Ray, who was never really given a legitimate chance to show what he could do in New York, could end up back in the CFL.

Henry's stay with the Jets was brief. He was signed right before the draft. The former Dolphin runner became expendable when the Jets picked running back Cedric Houston in the draft. Jets GM Terry Bradway tends to keep most of his draft picks.

Norman became expendable when the Jets traded for tight end Doug Jolley and then drafted tight end Joel Dreesen.
