Jets add CB Aaron Beasley

General Manager Terry Bradway announced the signing of free agent cornerback Aaron Beasley to a multi-year contract. Terms of the agreement were undisclosed.

Beasley, a 28-year old, 6-0, 205-pound cornerback from West Virginia, joins the Jets after having played the previous six seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. During his career in Jacksonville, Beasley played in 76 regular season games and made 71 starts after being selected in the third round of the 1996 draft. The product of West Virginia University holds the Jaguars' record for most career interceptions (15), including a team-record six interceptions in 1999, two of which he returned for touchdowns.
