Also, on Thursday, Jets GM Terry Bradway said the Jets have yet to have cornerback Ty Law in for a visit, and none is currently planned. Bradway wouldn't comment on whether the team has made an offer to Law's agent Kevin Poston for the services of the All-Pro cornerback . . .
As for defensive end John Abraham, Bradway said nothing can happen, perhaps on a long-term contract, until Abraham signs the one-year tender he has been offered by the team for $6.7 million.
Bradway was elusive on a number of questions posed about Abraham. At one point, he said to one query about the team's star defensive end, "I'm just not going to answer that question, you can ask me again 10 minutes from now, and I won't answer it." . . .
During this same press briefing, Jets coach Herman Edwards said Adrian Jones will play left tackle. The coach later corrected himself, but you have to wonder if this was a Fraudian slip, since left tackle is Jones' better position.
