Ty Law update

As has been widely reported, Carl Poston, the agent for cornerback Ty Law, was to meet with Jets assistant GM Mike Tannenbaum.

The meeting scheduled for Wednesday night between Tannenbaum and Poston, however, was postponed.

Poston wasn't able to get into town, but the two actually did meet on Thursday night.

"Obviously they are talking," said Jets coach Herman Edwards. "We will see where it's at."

The Jets remain the leading candidates to land Law, who would love to play for Edwards.

He also has three good friends in the Jets organization - running back Curtis Martin, assistant running back coach Sam Gash, and secondary coach Corwin Brown. He played with all three of them in New England.
