Jets injury updates

Jets second-year linebacker Darrell McClover, who broke his ankle against the Detroit Lions last Friday, had surgery on Monday.

Screws were inserted in his ankle to help the healing process, and the Jets will put the linebacker on injured reserve.

With McClover out for the year, Barry Gardner will likely take over as Eric Barton's backup at weakside linebacker.

In other injury news, rookie wideout Harry Williams hurt his Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) in practice on Monday, and will likely be out six weeks.
