Abraham reports

Holdout defensive end John Abraham has returned to Jets camp, and signed a one-year contract for $6.7 million.

"I'm here to announce John Abraham has signed," said Jets GM Terry Bradway. "He will be ready to practice tommorrow."

"I wasn't trying to hurt the team," said Abraham. "I have two weeks to get ready for the opener."

Abraham doesn't seem that upset he didn't receive the long-term deal he was looking for.

"We knew going into it, it wasn't going to happen," said Abraham.

The knee injury he suffered at the end of last year is now 100 percent healed.

"The knee has been fine for a long time, it's not even an issue anymore," said Abraham.
