Jets sign Snell to practice squad

The New York Jets announced today that they have signed rookie offensive lineman Isaac Snell to the practice squad and have released rookie tackle Michael Kracalik from the practice squad.

Snell, a 6-6, 288-pound product of North Dakota State, was signed by the Jets as a rookie free agent on April 28, 2005. Snell played in 37 games in his four years at North Dakota, recording 109 tackles, a fumble recovery, nine passes defended, an interception and seven sacks at nose tackle. As a senior, he recorded 55 tackles, two passes defended and two sacks in 11 games. He played in 11 games as a junior and finished with 33 tackles, four passes defended, an interception and four sacks. As a sophomore Snell played offensive linebacker and saw action in 10 games and finished the season with 16 tackles, one fumble recovery, two passes defended and a sack. He lettered in a reserve role at linebacker and recorded five tackles and one passes defended as a freshman.
