Pennington Leukemia Event

Chad Pennington, and the Jets Women's Organization will team up with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for their signature event, the Light The Night Walk on Thursday, September 22nd at Hofstra Arena in Hempstead, NY. This event is to raise awareness and funds for blood cancer research.

Light The Night is an annual evening walk campaign to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Each fall, teams of friends, families and co-workers gather in cities and towns across America. They walk in twilight, holding illuminated balloons – white for survivors and red for supporters. More than a walk, the evening includes music, food and family activities.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society' mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Chad Pennington and the Jets Women's Organization will join more than 2,000 patients and supporters as they walk throughout Hofstra's Campus creating a beautiful twilight walk to lift our hearts and spirits. Pennington is focused on The Society's goal of curing blood cancers because his father-in-law lost his 10-month battle with leukemia in 2003.

Please join Chad and the JWO as they address and kick-off the 2005 Light The Night Walk. Registration begins at 5:30pm and the event program will begin promptly at 7:00pm. For more information, please visit or call 631.752.8500.
