Bollinger hard on himself

Pete Kendall feels Brooks Bollingers pain. Bollinger had a rough outing in the Jets 30-3 loss to Carolina.

"Brooks is a pretty determined guy," said Kendall. "I'm sure nobody fells worse than he does. There's blame to go around today. He was under pressure at times. On the tipped ball, there was nothing he could do. It looks ugly."

Bollinger's third quarter end zone pick to cornerback Ken Lucas. might have been the most important play of the game.

"It was a big turning point," said Bollinger. "We were going down on that drive and Laveraneus beats him and I just threw a bad ball. The corner made a good play and intercepted it. Obviously that was a big point in the game. I knew it was going to be short. I wish I could have it back. I wish I could have a couple back today obviously. It was a big play. They made it. We didn't."

What went wrong on the play?

"I threw it my back foot," said Bollinger. "I don't think I had to. For whatever reason I did. I hung the ball in the air."

The bigger question is why did the Jets continually throw at Lucas, the Panthers best cornerback. That was a bad strategy.
