Jets sign center
Katnik, 6-4, 280-pounds, is a first-year player who has spent the last season and a half on the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad. A rookie free agent in 2004 out of the University of Southern California, Katnik was a four-year starter for the Trojans at all five offensive line positions. The native of Santa Ana, CA went to training camp this season with the Niners, was waived on final cut-downs and signed to their practice squad.
