Bradway press conference cancelled

Jets GM Terry Bradway was scheduled to hold his season-ending press conference on Thursday. It was cancelled.

With the Jets still ironing out a compensation agreement with the Kansas City Chiefs for the rights to Herman Edwards, the GM didn't feel this was the right time to address the media.

"The press conference was postponed until a later date," said Jets publicist Meghan Gilmore.

Once the Jets settle on compensation for Edwards, then they have to hire a new head coach.

Some of the candidate that have been mentioned are Jim Haslett, Mike Sherman and Jim Fassel. A long-shot for the job is current offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger. According to the New York Daily News, Jets owner Woody Johnson isn't in favor of promoting "Dinger." No reason was given.
