Assistant coaches interviewed

The Jets new coach Eric Mangini interviewed the Jets assistant coaches on Wednesday.

It was an all day process. No official decision have been announced, but defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson definitely won't be back. GM Terry Bradway has soured on him, and Mangini runs an entirely different system.

It's unlikely offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger will be back either. We hear he has already cleaned out his office. There is a good chance he could replace Gary Kubiak as Denver's offensive coordinator. Kubiak is expected to be named head coach of the Houston Texans once the Broncos season is over.

The assistants with the best chance of being retained are secondary coach Corwin Brown, linebacker coach Bob Sutton, fullback coach Sam Gash and strength coach Markus Paul. All have played or coached with Mangini before.
