Jets showing interest in college OT

The Jets are looking at offensive tackle who looks like a third round pick.

They have their eye on Cal-Berkeley's Ryan O'Callaghan, a 6-7, 340 pound right tackle.

The enormous Redding, California-native had his only pre-draft visit scheduled with the Jets. It was cancelled, but that could be a smokescreen. Often team's have more interest in players who don't visit to confuse other organizations and the media.

O'Callaghan is probably more talented than a third-rounder, but had four shoulder operations in college, so this should make him slip. But he's the type of smart, mature, tough prospect, who could start as a rookie, like Jason Fabini. The Jets could use one of their two third round picks on him.

O'Callaghan says he shoulders are now fine.
