Jets to hold a practice at the Meadowlands

The New York Jets announce plans to hold their first open practice at the Meadowlands in franchise history on Saturday, August 5th, at 2:00 p.m.– with the public invited to watch the historic session free of charge.

Before the Jets take the field at the Meadowlands, the team will kickoff the NFL season under new Head Coach Eric Mangini at Hofstra University in Long Island on Friday, July 28th, at the North Fork Bank Training Camp.

"This year will feature many ‘firsts', including the first open practice at the Meadowlands in team history," said New York Jets' President Jay Cross. "The practice will make it easier for New Jersey fans to experience training camp, while offering an unprecedented opportunity to sit in the stands and watch the Jets gear up for next season."

Admission and parking are free at all Jets' practices, including the practice at the Meadowlands. Jets' Training Camp attracts tens of thousands of fans each summer. However, watching practice isn't the only activity offered. Fans can take advantage of special events, mini-practices, concerts, giveaways and Generation Jets Fest for kids.
