Beasley Injures Knee...

CB Aaron Beasley left practice today with a hyper extended left knee

Trainers worked on the knee and wrapped it with an ace bandage. Coach Herm Edwards said in his press conference that the injury is not serious and Beasley could practice this afternoon. Ray Mickens filled in as the starting right cornerback for the rest of practice…FB Little John Flowers sprained his ankle in practice, but the sprain was mild. DT Josh Evans rolled his ankle in practice, but will probably play in the afternoon session…G Randy Thomas was in pads today, but did not participate in full-contact drills…LB Sam Cowart was held out of practice again today, and has not practiced since tweaking his hamstring on the opening day of training camp, a week ago…WR Laveranues Coles did not practice again this morning as he continues to rest his sore heal. That allowed North Carolina rookie WR Kory Bailey to see a lot more passes thrown his way this morning, and it paid off. Bailey was the best offensive player in the morning session, with three nice catches. He caught a 50-yard bomb from third-string QB Tory Woodbury, made a terrific leaping grab in the back of the end zone for a touchdown, and caught another deep button-hook up the middle.
