Jets tryout another offensive lineman

With Pete Kendall's hamstring issues, and a very little depth on the offensive line, the Jets continue to workout linemen.

On Wednesday, they worked out former Miami Dolphin Wade Smith, who was waived early in the week. Smith came into the league as an offensive tackle, but the Dolphins moved him inside the last two years. Jets offensive line coach Tony Wise coached him with the Dolphins, so he was able to give Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum great insight on the player.

Another transaction of note was the New Orleans Saints waiving defensive end Michael Haynes. Remember on the final cutdown, the Chicago Bears waived Haynes, and the Jets put a waiver claim in on him, but the Saints claimed him first. Now he is available again, so you have to wonder if this will pique the Jets interest. He is a former first round pick out of Penn State.
