An Easy Afternoon

The Jets special teams had a short practice this afternoon

In his press conference this morning, Herm Edwards noted that it was a difficult stretch of practices without a Thursday game to break up the week. In response to that, he only kept the special teams players on the field for 50 minutes today…Governor George Pataki paid a visit to Jets camp today. He chatted with Edwards and addressed the players when practice broke. He spoke to the media on the issue of a new stadium in New York for the Jets and said, "It's terrific that Woody wants to bring the Jets back to New York.  It was sad when we first lost them." P Matt Turk looked good in practice, booming punts and even throwing a few 50-yard bombs on punt fakes.
