Jets Cut 15

The Jets General Manager Terry Bradway announced today that the team has waived 15 players, bringing the roster size down to 70.

The players who were waived are as follows:


Jay Brooks – safety from Texas A&M

Matt Farmer – wide receiver from Air Force, on Jets reserve/military list last two years

John Grabowski – guard from Eastern Michigan

Mike horacek – wide receiver from Iowa State University

Jerimiah Janssen – linebacker from St. Norbert College

Matt Knutson – tackle from University of North Dakota

Chad Kuhns – fullback from University of Wisconsin

Tavon Mason – wide receiver from University of Virginia

Kyle McCann – quarterback from University of Iowa

Brandon Moore – defensive tackle/ offensive guard from University of Illinois

Daniel Newman – tight end from Louisiana Tech

Gus Ornstein – quarterback from Rowan

Idris Price – linebacker from University of New Haven

James Rooths – cornerback from Shepherd College

Kahmal Roy – wide receiver from Hofstra


The Jets will make additional cuts on Sunday, September 1st, to bring their roster down to 53 players.
