Jets sign DT Zarnell Fitch to contract

The New York Jets announced they have signed DT Zarnell Fitch to a contract.

Fitch, originally signed to the Jets' practice squad on December 27, is a native of Spencer, Oklahoma and played two years (2004-2005) at TCU. In his two-year career, he recorded a total of 34 tackles with two interceptions, a forced fumble and a sack.

At 6-3, 320 pounds, he certainly looks the part to play 3-4 nose tackle, but whether he can do it, remains to be seen.

Fitch is the sixth player the Jets have signed to a Reserve/Future contract. The other signed players are: DE Darrell Adams, CB Alphonso Hodge, TE Joe Kowalewski, DT Keyonta Marshall and DT Matt McChesney.
