Both deals should be completed shortly… The Jets tried out G Kaulana Noa this morning… Rookie Jon McGraw continues to impress the Jets coaches. He used his terrific vertical to leap up and intercept a Vinny Testaverde pass early in practice. Then, after missing an assignment and hearing about it from Ted Cotrell and Bill Bradley, McGraw promptly ran across the field to break up a Chad Pennington pass on the very next play.
Another rookie defensive back, Marcus Floyd, had a nice practice. On one of the last plays of the day he intercepted a pass and ran it back about 20-yards. On the return of the interception, SS Nick Ferguson took off as the lead blocker for Floyd, and barreled into people like an offensive lineman. The Jet players watching on the sideline appreciated Ferguson's hustle and let him hear it… LB Sam Cowart made a heads-up play, catching a pass that was deflected off the line of scrimmage for an interception… WR Kory Bailey had the offensive play of the day, making a sensational leaping catch through traffic, using his body to shield off two defenders.
