Jets lose out on Columbo

The Jets were interested in Cowboys free agent right tackle Marc Columbo, but he re-signed with Dallas on Friday.

The 6-8 Boston College prospect received a two-year, $7 million deal. In the contract, he received a $4 million signing bonus.

With Columbo off the market, if might be in the Jets best interest to bring back last year's starting right tackle, Anthony Clement.

While Clement was a little inconsistent last year, he was the team's best offensive tackle. The Jets left tackle, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, gave up 10 sacks last year. Clement was more reliable in pass protection than Ferguson.
