In 2006, Ramsey attempted one pass in his lone regular-season appearance for the New York Jets. He was acquired by the Jets from Washington on March 17, 2006, in exchange for a sixth round choice in the 2006 NFL Draft.
Ramsey registered three games with a passer rating of at least 100.0 while playing nine games (7 starts) for the Redskins in 2004. He posted a career-high 62.1 completion percentage that season, completing 169-of-272 passes for 1,665 yards with 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
During the 2003 campaign, Ramsey started all 11 games played for Washington and completed 179-of-337 passes (53.1%) for a personal-best 2,166 yards with 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He threw for at least 300 yards on two occasions in 2003, including a career-high 356-yard effort in the Redskins' win at Atlanta on Sept. 14, 2003.
Ramsey saw action in 10 games for Washington as a rookie in 2002 and threw multiple touchdown passes in three of his five starts that season.
At Tulane, Ramsey finished his career as the school's all-time leader in passing yards (9,205), touchdown passes (72), completions (798) and passing attempts (1,355). He set a Tulane record by throwing at least one touchdown pass in 31 consecutive games.
