On the Jets offense:
"To be honest, I haven't seen anything yet. I'll be watching the tape this afternoon. I've seen them in the preseason and they were really throwing the rock around. I'm sure they want to get Curtis more involved, since he's only touched it eight times in the past two games, but we have to be prepared for both ways because I know they're going to spread us out as well."
On the Match-up with Kevin Mawae:
"He's a great player. He can definitely get on linebackers; he shuts linebackers down so it's going to be a challenge. But that's why he's getting paid like he is. Maybe he needs to buy me a watch. He's a great player and I respect him, and that's it."
On Verbal Match-ups with Kevin Mawae:
"To be honest, he says some nice things, but then he tries to rip your helmet off. I don't get caught up in all that talking stuff because it gets me out of my game. I'm happy that we've got this match-up going, and hopefully I'll get the better of it this time, but he's had the better of it the last eight times, because they've won. You've got to give him credit because he's the best out there. He can get up there and lock on. At least he got two holding calls last week, maybe they can get it in his head that he does hold."
On Getting the Monkey Off their Backs:
"It would definitely be nice, like I said, I got caught up in the whole thing trying to get it off my back, and lost vision of the big picture, which is trying to get your team better by the end of the year. We want to get if off our back, the media down here is on our backs, which doesn't help, and even the fans. I think a quarter of the stands are filled with Jets fans. There's a lot of New Yorkers down here. We want to shut them up a little bit."
On the Streak Against the Jets:
"I think we haven't played our best games, maybe because the Jets have played really well against us, you've got to give them a lot of credit. They always play their top game against us. I don't even know why we're going to watch tape from last week, because they're going to be a completely different team against us. They're going to be fired up. It's going to be fun. There's going to be a lot of excitement and a lot of heat. To be honest, I haven't been beaten in a 1:00p.m. game at home since I've been in the league, and that's been six years. We've been really good in September, so I'm looking at that, I'm not looking at the eight straight against the Jets. I don't know how many games I've played in September at home, but I think I'm undefeated."
