Chris Baker banged up

Jets tight end Chris Baker was shaken up in the afternoon practice.

Towards the end of the session, he reached down for a low pass, and was hurt on the play.

Baker seemed woozy, and unsteady on his feet. Two trainers worked on him at the same time. One rubbed his stomach with a cold compress, and the other did the same to his lower back.

The good news for Baker was that he walked into the locker room under his own power after practice.

A Baker injury is the last thing the Jets need. Aside from Baker, their roster is loaded with tight ends known mostly for their blocking. He is by far their most established receiving threat.
