The big news of the afternoon was the injury to running back Thomas Jones. The injury occurred during a play in which he was blocking. Jones limped off the field and returned later on to use the stationary hand bike on the sideline. It looks like either a calf or ankle injury.

Pete Kendall saw sporadic action at left guard with the first team offensive line. He also received work at center. Kendall has experience playing the position in Arizona and New York, although it is certainly not his strength…

Cornerback Hank Poteat had a solid practice in pass coverage, breaking up several passes...

Wide receiver Chansi Stuckey had another impressive afternoon. The seventh round pick continues to impress with his fearlessness over the middle and ability to make difficult catches in traffic. Stuckey concluded a two minute drill by hauling in a Kellen Clemens pass at the 30-yard-line, and showing off his speed by taking it the distance…

Defensive end Michael Haynes received an expletive-filled earful from assistant defensive line coach Bryan Cox who was upset that Haynes had missed an assignment…
