With two-a-days finishing up, Jets banged up

Jets have a number of players banged up. Here is an analysis of what might be going on with each:

At the end of the Tuesday afternoon practice, cornerback Andre Dyson was hobbling around the practice field with some kind of leg injury . . .

Center Nick Mangold was stung by a bee during the media session on Tuesday . . .

Wide receiver Justin McCareins suffered some kind of leg injury late in the Tuesday afternoon practice . . .

Running back Alvin Banks suffered some kind of leg injury in the Tuesday afternoon practice when pulled down by cornerback Darrelle Revis, who might have gone a little overboard in a non-contact session . . .

Tight end Joe Kowalewski is clearly still injured with a pulled muscle in his right leg, but returned to practice on Monday anyway. With the emergence of Jason Pociask, Kowalewski probably sees his chances slipping away. so he didn't want to miss anymore time . . .

Wide receiver Chansi Stuckey (knee) attempted to return to practice Tuesday afternoon, but was hobbling so bad, he had to leave the session, and go back to the hand bike.

Running back Thomas Jones had no wrap on his injured right calf during the Tuesday practice. Whether this is a sign of progress is hard to tell. He's still not practicing . . .

Safety James Ihedigbo, who was released on Monday, must have received an injury settlement. He reportedly had a back injury. He also had a wrap on his wrist.
