Coles suffered a high ankle sprain in the Jets win over Pittsburgh.
He missed the Jets game in Dallas on Thanksgiving with the injury.
Coles hardly practiced this week, and anything he did do, didn't involved a lot of running.
And he's clearly hobbling around on this injury. Very few high ankle sprains heal in two weeks, so Coles is hurting right now. If he plays, he's probably going to have to use painkillers, or take a shot of some kind.
So at this point, he has to be considered a longshot to play.
If Coles joins Cotchery on the sideline, the Jets starting receivers will be Brad Smith and Justin McCareins. Rotating in will be speedsters Wallace Wright and Chris Davis. If the Jets decide to put Cotchery on injured reserve, they could elevate speedy David Clowney from the practice squad.
