Chrebet to Start

WR Wayne Chrebet had his best practice of the week today and will start this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Though he will start, Chrebet will not see his usual number of plays, and will be in a rotation at wide receiver.

There was a rumor earlier in the week that DE Bryan Thomas would be deactivated for Sunday's game, but both he and CB Andrew Davison will dress for the game. Herm Edwards will instead deactivate an offensive lineman. With DE Steve White still not 100% with an ankle sprain, Edwards did not want to be shorthanded at defensive end. White is probable for the game. Davison will be in the dime package while S Jon McGraw platoons with SS Sam Garnes.

FS Damien Robinson had a scare in practice this week when he banged knees with WR Ataveus Cash, but is okay, and will start this Sunday. LB Mo Lewis, G J.P. Machado, and DT's Larry Webster and James Reed are all probable.

When Edwards was asked what he would do if someone behaved like WR Terrell Owens when he was playing, he said,

"It would have gotten taken care of in the right way. In between the lines when you play football. That is what is great about football. There is a code that you play under. That is what I understood when I played."
