Pennington to start on Sunday

Chad Pennington will be the Jets starting quarterback this Sunday in Nashville. The announcement was made by Dave Hutchinson and Rich Cimini.

"Chad Pennington has his old job back and will be the starting quarterback when the Jets play at Tennessee on Sunday, according to two people with knowledge of the team's game plan," wrote Hutchinson in the Newark Star-Ledger.

"In due time, the Jets will have to decide if Kellen Clemens is their quarterback of the future," wrote Cimini in the Daily News. "One thing became abundantly clear yesterday: He's not their quarterback this week.

"With Clemens suffering rib and shoulder injuries, the Jets will return to Chad Pennington - remember him? - for Sunday's road game against the Titans, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. "It's as certain as you could be," the person said.
