Jets are linebacker shopping

The Jets are clearly looking to upgrade their linebacking corps. They brought in three free agents, with NFL experience, in for tryouts this week.

In for visits were Albert Fincher (New Orleans), Trev Faulk (St. Louis) and Rian Wallace (Pittsburgh).

Fincher was a third round pick of the Saints in 2005 out of UConn. His time with New Orleans ended in the middle of this season when he suffered a concussion which landed him on IR. He is an inside linebacker.

Faulk, who is the cousin of New England running back Kevin Faulk, spent a couple of years with the Rams, but was out of football last year. He has had back issues the last couple of seasons. He has the prototype build for 3-4 OLB at 6-3, 254 pounds.

Wallace was also out of football last year after spending two seasons with the Steelers. The Temple-product has good experience playing in the 3-4 from his time with the Steelers.
