The skinny on Bubba Franks

What is Bubba Franks all about? Here is the take of Packer Insider Todd Korth -

"With a high salary cap number ($3 million) in 2008, Franks, 30, was released on Feb. 20. He is a solid blocker, and has fairly decent hands, however, he's not going to get many yards after the catch.

"Franks had a solid training camp last year, making some impressive catches, but he missed eight games in the middle of the season with a knee injury and finished with 18 catches for 132 yards and three touchdowns. That hurt his cause for this season.

"Franks is in a tie with Robert Brooks for 10th on the team's all-time touchdown receptions list with 32.

"He injured his left knee in 2005 and missed two games early in the season, then last year he sprained his right knee in the Packers' win over Washington Oct. 14 and missed eight games. Otherwise, he has been very durable for the Packers, missing six games total between college through the 2005 season with the Packers."
