Jets working out top OLB prospect

The Jets are bringing in one of the draft's top OLB prospects for a visit.

According to an NFL source, the Jets are going to workout Purdue defensive end Cliff Avril, who projects to 3-4 outside linebacker on the next level.

The source didn't know the date of the meeting.

Avril is a 6-3, 252 pounder with sub 4.6 speed. Like a lot of Purdue defensive ends (like Anthony Spencer, Shaun Phillips and Rosie Colvin) he projects to 3-4 OLB on the next level.

Avril is a great athlete with a terrific motor, but still needs some work on his pass rushing. But he is certainly worth a second round pick because of his enormous potential as a 3-4 OLB.
