NY Jets and Fortunoff Present "Jets Deam&quot

For the 2002 holidays, The New York Jets will debut a collectible ornament called "Jets Dream" motivated by a charitable overlay benefiting the Alliance for Lupus Research (ALR).

The ornaments will be available at Fortunoff and will sell at retail for $45.00. A portion of the ornaments gross wholesale will be donated to the Alliance for Lupus Research.


The Jets and Fortunoff have teamed up for two autograph sessions of "Jets Dream" ornaments on Saturday, November 9 and 23 respectively to promote the effort.  On Saturday, November, 9 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Fortunoff, The Source in Westbury, Long Island, Jets Head Coach Herman Edwards and quarterback Chad Pennington will autograph "Jets Dream" ornaments in the Christmas Store.  On Saturday, November 23 from 1:30-3:30 pm at Fortunoff, The Source in Wayne, NJ, Jets Chairman and CEO, Woody Johnson and a Jets' player will autograph "Jets Dream" ornaments in the Christmas Store.


The Alliance for Lupus Research (ALR), founded in 1999 by the family of New York Jets owner Robert Wood Johnson IV, provides an aggressive effort to prevent, treat and cure lupus through medical research.  To speed up scientific discoveries in lupus, the ALR awards substantial, short-term grants to highly focused research projects.  The ALR is the largest private sponsor of lupus research in the U.S.
