The MVP of the mini-camp two years in a row

For the second year in a row, the same player stole the show at the Jets mini-camp.

It was wide receiver Chansi Stuckey.

Based on his mini-camp performances in 2007 and 2008, Stuckey looks like he can be special.

Both camps he displayed great hands and open field moves. He exudes confidence. He's also extremely bright and knows what he is doing out there.

The Jets picked Stuckey in the 7th round of the 2007 draft. He slipped to the end of the draft because of a foot injury his senior year at Clemson. Unfortunately for Stuckey, he re-injured that foot in training camp last summer, and the Jets put him on IR.

If his foot woes are behind him, this guy can be a major contributor for the Jets in 2008 as as slot receiver.

Watching him in practice, he as a very similar playing style to former New England Patriots star Deion Branch, who is now with Seattle.

Stuckey would have been a much higher pick if not for the foot problem. Remember, as a junior, he was First-team All-ACC, along with Georgia Tech's Calvin Johnson, the first pick of the 2007 draft by the Detriot Lions.

The foot problem led to pedestrian 40 times prior to the draft. He ran in the 4.6 area, but watching him now, he looks more like a 4.4 guy.

This kid looks like he has star potential. The Jets just have to keep their fingers crossed that he can stay healthy this year.
