Thomas Questionable

Right guard Randy Thomas is questionable with a right ankle sprain, but will likely play on Sunday.

Thomas injured his ankle in the first quarter against the Lions, but continued to play on it. He had an x-ray taken after the game, and there is no structural damage.

Left guard Dave Szott, who was activated on Tuesday from the PUP list, will not play this week. He's still a few weeks away from being ready to participate. He was just recently cleared to run, so he needs
to get in running shape. He feels he could be ready to go for the Raider game on Monday Night Football. One issue though is that his knee swells up when he flies, so this could impact whether he can play against Oakland.

According to a reporter, Wayne Chrebet said the Jets receiving corps is the most talented in the league. He would get a lot of arguments about that. Actually Buffalo's receiving corps is probably better than the Jets right now. Eric Moulds has 66 catches and Peerless Price has 64. They love their third receiver - Josh Reed, who has 28 catches. Reed has great hands, runs terrific routes and is very talented at running after the catch. This game will be the toughest challenge the Jets secondary has faced all season.

Sam Cowart's playing a lot better now than he did in the opener at Buffalo. His improved play has caught the eye of a former teammate.

"He wasn't the Sam Cowart that he is right now," Moulds said. "He can blitz,
he can rush the passer, and he can cover guys one-on-one. Early on in the season, he didn't get the opportunity to do that because of the injury. Now he is playing a lot better because the injury is healing up and he is getting more confident."

The Bills shockingly only have one player on the injury report - Cowart's replacement, LB London Fletcher. The Jets only have two players on the injury report, Szott, who won't play and Thomas who will. It's shocking for there to be a total of three players on the injury report between two teams in Week 12. You're telling us that nobody else is injured in Late November after 10 games of football in the NFL? It's hard to believe, and that is why you have to take the injury report with a grain of salt.
