With Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle both out for the year, the Jets will face QB Tyler Thigpen, the pride-and-joy of Coastal Carolina University. Here is a scouting report on Thigpen from KC insider Nick Athan -
"Tyler has some upside as a quarterback. He has a strong arm but often throws off his back foot. Sometimes his release point is a bit erratic but when he has time to throw generally he hits the target. He's very mobile to say the least and often takes off as the pocket crumbles.
"He's had to be creative at times when he's played and the key for him is getting off to a good start. If he struggles in his first couple of series that could carry over into the second quarter. But as has been the case in every game, he always finds a groove and gets points on the board for the offense.
"Of the three quarterbacks the Chiefs used this season, he has been the only one to get them in the end zone either with his arm or his feet."
