Look out for Joe Klopfenstein

The Jets better beware of tight end Joe Klopfenstein this week.

The last couple of weeks the Jets have allowed obscure rookie tight ends to torch them. Two weeks ago it was Kansas City's Brad Cottam and last week it was Buffalo's Derek Fine.

Prior to facing the Jets, those guys were essentially non-factors for their teams.

So perhaps Ram tight end Joe Klopfenstein is next in line to come out of obscurity if this pattern continues.

Is Eric Mangini concerned with Klopfenstein? "We're always concerned with every player on the opposing side," said Mangini.

For one reason or another, the Jets have had a very hard time covering tight ends this year. Whether it's the fault of safeties or linebackers, the Jets need to get this fixed, especially with upcoming games against New England and Tennessee, two teams that love throwing to tight ends.

But dealing with Klopfenstein is the first order of business.
